Sunday, December 28, 2008Some Love Are Meant to Be ForeverAnd I saw it with my own two eyes. For close to two and a half years, I watched this love grow stronger and stronger. I felt the happiness, the pain, the bittersweetness, and the final tears in celebration of the most heart moving happy ending I can ever imagine to have the honor to witness. Some love are meant to be forever. I will always remember the vows of everlasting love and respect that was being exchanged at the ceremony, and may this also be the day where my waterproof mascara failed miseribly. And it's all worth it. Seasons may change, but love will last forever. Congratuations Jace and Dan. Tuesday, December 23, 2008Dear Diary: So the sky did fell today. . .
Actually the sky fell three days ago as the snow painted the world white. So winter has arrived once again. Looking back at my last winter, I realize, there are thngs that I have lost, and there are things that I have been rewarded with. Some would say that life isn't fair. Maybe. . . . . .Maybe it does seems cruel on the surface, but only deep down in the truth will you be able to find the treaure hidden within. Only when you have reached the bottom will you be able to cast away all fear of sinking any lower. Only when your heart has been broken once will you be able to be brave and let it be broken again. Only when you have lost everything will you be able to appreciate everything you have.
And when your sky fall, you will learn who truly cares for you, and will be there with you until the end. I found mine, I hope you won't need the testiment of a falling sky to find yours. ( Asking for a ride in the snowy storm is NOT. You will get someone in biggy trouble.) Sunday, December 21, 2008How to Battle the Winter Cold Easy Breasy Beautifully: Fashion![]() As the coldest west coast winter arrives with a grand entrance, west coast beauties must now face the horrible truth: the pre-matched and perfectly planned outfits for all the christmas events must now be replanned to match the suede leather over the knee boots. My experiences in the past has taught me that what's inside is more important than what's on the outside. Why? Well, here's why. When you go out for a party, there will always be an after party. And the chances are the after party will be a house party. Thus, all footwears stay at the lobby of the mansion and you will have to justify your fashion sense with your socks. So, try to match your socks to your outfits if you want to be on the save side. Black is always a lovely color. A bolder statement can be made with bold colors such as neon yellow, hot pink, shimmering red and etc. Never go with white socks since all the dust on the floor as well as the wearing away of the color of the insole of your shoes will be easily shown on white, unless if you are attending a school uniform theme party. Ladies, even though you will be layering your outfits, but it will save you two layers of unnecessary garments at least (and the appearance of being 5 pounds heavier) if you wear a thermal under garment. I wear a short sleeve one under my empire waist party dress just to be safe if I found myself at a "not yet warm up" party in the empty ballroom. To your surprises, Zellers and Wal-mart carry good enough quality thermal under garments at the price range of $10 to $20 CAN. Finally, don't forget your personality at home and splitz on some fragrance before you leave. Human basic senses, such as taste and smell, register a more intense memory then the secondary senses such as languages and body guestures. I'm sure that perfect outfit and lovely party etiquette are enough to make you the centre of attention at the events, but more attraction never hurts. Have fun vouging lovelys. Thursday, December 11, 2008Christmas is a giving season
The act of giving can be very tough for most people this year for the Christmas season. However, for those that still have access to the internet and able to pay for basic cable, consider those that do not have a home with a roof on top. Therefore, besides all the galas, parties, after party parties and more galas, think about something that you can do to help those in your community in ways that you can. And here is a list of things that I believe EVERYONE can do to make it a merrier holiday for all:
1. Vow to drop in 25 cents or more into the Salvation Army bright red buckets everytime you see one. Maybe it will cost you a coffee a day, but so what? Some cannot even afford clean water. 2. Donate non-perishable food item for a local food bank. Some holiday season parties and galas would also have food drives. I know that Campbell doesn't fit into your Chanel, but when everyone is doing it, you will look foolish without one. 3. Simply donate money to the charity of your choice. At this point ( with the rollor coaster economy ride), any amount counts. Think about how many different colors of nail polish you already own, and think about how many meals your $ 5 to $ 10 can help others get through. Meanwhile, pack your left overs when you go out for meals. Think Karma. 4. Give your 5 inch pumps a rest and put on some runners and jeans to be a volunteer for a day or two, or a period of time during the season. Helping out your community directly is one of the best ways there is to be connected with those around you, and to see the bigger picture of how your help can make a difference. There is nothing in the world more rewarding for your sweats and maybe tears, then to see a smile on someone else's face. One advice: waterproof mascara. 5. Pray. I will not get into the religious discussion, it is up to you to decide if this applies to you. Pray for your loved ones, for your friends and families, for those who are in need. I know it is a one sided text message, but it won't cause you a dime, and no restrictions applied. Labels: Donations, Food Bank, Salvation Army, Volunteer work Tuesday, December 2, 2008December: Grace, Joy, and Love.![]() As fast as time flies, Decemeber has offically arrived with a red ribbon on top. Gift giving has always been a difficult puzzle to solve by many. For It is an even harder question if she needs to buy for a special someone. So, to make things easier, ( so you can spare more time picking up great gifts for yourself, or just simply have more time to put together your oscar outfits to parties), here is a list of ideas pre-prepared for my lovely fair ladies. Do Buy: 1. Ties: It is called the classic gift because it IS classic and you can never go wrong with anything classic ( think the little black dress for girls). It would work for your brother, your father, your admiring someone, or anyone that you think you want to show an extra something during the holiday season. Just like ladies to shoes, men never have enough tie in their closets. But be sure to pick something "VOGUE". Ask a sales representative. 2. Socks: If he is a good friend, but not your boyfriend (or not yet), a set of three CK or Hugo Boss socks in black or blue would make that right statement. 3. Belts: This would be the one notch up version from the "Tie" gift. Any second line label brand would do. 4. Wallet: Don't attempt unless this is your boyfriend, father, or father in law. Wallet is something that truly shows the class and statement of men, so please go for the first line labels. Preferrably European labels. And MAKE SURE IT'S LEATHER! 5. Perfume: This would depend on how close you are with your male friend and how much you know him. Preferrably for a male close friend who is in the show biz, in the fashion biz, or a living breathing fashionlista. This would be a great choice for your significant other as well. Don't blind pick a perfume. Take the effort to smell it out, if you don't mind, sample it on a ribbon and see how the scent changes, make sure that you would like it yourself first because no men would like a scent that a lady doesn't like. Don't buy: 1. Accessories: Unless you know which one to get. Or else it will be in the bottom of the drawer forever and ever. Ever. 2. Clothes: Unless you know their exact size. If you still want to attempt, tie him up and take him to the clothing store to try on the exact outfit you want on him. What? breaking your nails?? Exactly. 3. Shoes: There is a legend that buying shoes for a special someone would mean sending that person out of your life, to "walk away". Don't risk it if your love depends on it. 4. Wine: A big NO for fair ladies. Sending the wrong idea. Very wrong. Yes though if you mean it. 5. Electronic Gadgets: Note to ladies, he might already have it. Double check before you do if you really want to. I have a hinch that iphone, ipod, PSP, blah blah blah. . . . he would already own one of each. Wii?? . . .Double check with his sister. With love to all my lovely fashionistas~~~~ xoxo~~~~happy holiday~~~~ December: Grace, Joy, and Love.![]() As fast as time flies, Decemeber has offically arrived with a red ribbon on top.
