One World Celebration Variety Show at River Rock Theatre

After party dinner with director Lucy ( lower left), Michael Jackson impersonator performer Kyle Toy ( centre with hat) and the crew members.

Photo with Master Zhu, performer of the National treasure of performance art " The Magic of Changing Masks".

The amazing crew^^ From top left: Edward, Emily, Cindy, Jeremy, Stanley, Bonnie, James, Kaila. From bottom left: Gary, Grace, Jon.

Humm. . .. I know everyone's gotta dress in black. . but that doesn't include our coat. . does it???

Sometimes there are mountains that you think you cannot climb, but you still did anyways because you have climbed all others, and there are only afew of these left that you still haven't claim them under your belt.

For me, that mountain has been conquered in this past weekend, as I took on the impossible of being the backstage manager for the "One World Celebration" variety show at River Rock Theatre of Richmond. I honestly thought the "Flavour of Glamour" fashion show was "IT" when it comes to mountains to be climbed. Not even close. The pressure was actually so intense for me that I had never concentrated so hard. It was a show that everyone has contributed in so much efforts, with performers from all over the world, and I was in the middle of it, mobiling a cast of over 100 people through the some 2000 square feet underworld backstage.

All my love to Lucy, the most amazing director who had always, always, always given her 200% percent. All my respect to Cindy and Jon, who probably didn't sleep for 2 weeks for this show, and had been cueing the show so accurate for both nights, they must had all details down to the T, amazing^^ My thank yous to Emily, Bonnie, Grace, Edward, Gary, Stanley, for such hard work and amazing great team work. Xoxo to Jeremy of EMP for helping me deal with so much stuff so I can free my mind for other things, or else I just could not be able to concentrate. The adorable Opheila, for always being so sweet and helpful you always light my heart. My dear Dionne for being the elegant MC that bought the quality of the show up T.H.A.T. much!!!! So so so much!!! and Jeremy for working so crazily hard to the max you looked almost about to pass out!~

And to our superstar James: I'm sure you've climbed your own mountains for this show and lets just say that medley is now Lucy's best kept secret weapon whenever she needs to blow her audiences away :)

The modern classic Belle of the NYC: SJP

Tell me you know who SJP is when I'm referring to this talented, elegant and sugar-ly sweet all time modern Hollywood red carpet-ly classy lady is.

You know what? I will just assume you know who I'm talking about and we'll leave her as SJP. Kinda like when we talk about Prince. He's referred to as P. Or rather a more fancier version of P. But. . you know what I mean. If the gentlemen have their P to represent their symbolism categories, well, fear not my lovelys, we've got SJP. And it's "SJ" more than their "P".

And yes, it is something to be proud of.

So when her new film "Have You Heard About The Morgans" hits theatre, I'll see you at the red carpet. And don't even mention about the Sex and The City 2. I'm already gone and sitting BACK ROW and CENTRE. Flash your blackberries at me my lovelys. I'll flash back I promise!~

The Lemon Park sisters, Tania and Penny Gleave, have always shared an interest in fashion and design, and often discussed starting a business together. So when Penny expressed an interest in changing careers at around the same time people were asking about jewellery Tania was creating and wearing at her openings, they decided to start Lemon Park.
Lemon Park came from the idea of the seaside park where the sisters and surrounding neighbourhood children spent most of their time outside of school. “Park” was chosen as a result of wanting to suggest an idea of a big, open space, a space in which all kinds of things happen and where ideas take shape. No limitations. Big enough for everyone.

Newest hottest products in town just in time for Vancouver Fashion Week

To my very surprise, this line of lip gross produced by DuWop for the Twilight franchise is high shine, light weight, non-sticky and at the same time is infused with a hint of fragrance. Other products by DuWop for Twilight includes character themed color platetes, and a very name fitting lipstain called Venom. In the picture is lip gross in Kindle.

Here is the one mascara that MIGHT gives Dior's mascara for a run of their money. This new hottie freshly imported from Japan is the newest most revolutionary mascara of its kind. It doesn't stick color onto eye lashes. It forms tiny water resistant tubes around your lashes rather than painting them like conventional mascaras. The best thing about this product is that it is very easy to remove. Warm water. Nothing but warm water or waterproof makeup remover will remove it. the tube slides out instead of smugning onto the face. For more info:

The Vancouver Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010 opening gala is starting in under 2 hours across town at Terminal City Club and I have 40 minutes to type in my latest find. I'm sure everyone else has it harder at Vouge than I do so I'm not complaining. Besides, these are indeed very exciting products. The latest. Isn't that something worth fighing the 5 o'clock traffic jam to get this posted asap for :)?

What goes on underneath it all?

I need at least three months to study a product, decide on buying a product, trying the product and getting results (yes. . .both the good and the bad. . ) before I suggest it to my friends. This specific product, the widely advertised "ground-breaking" Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate, was too "beauty" forward to take any chances. Six months. I waited six months to release my personal comments because anything attached with the word "DNA" related is not to be taken lightly for.

The results?

One word: A for "Amazing".

The only other skincare product that I would give an "Amazing" to is Estee Laudier Night Repair.

I purchased Genifique in March ( after much consideration and research on my own part ) and the first time I used it, it surprised me as to how fast it is absorbed by the skin. It is NOT sticky ( comparing to some other concentrates), and anything else that goes on after is perfectly absorbed.

4 weeks into using Genifique, skin felt tighter and silkier, and at the same time the elasticity seemed to have increased.

During the entire 6 months of using the product, I haven't encounter any irratition nor reverse results ( as the skin is getting use to one product, the product loses its effects on the skin and the skin slowly fades back into its original state before the product was used).

I suppose this justifies spending close to $100 on a little bottle of 30ml magic potion.

Better yet, put it on your wish list and see who is up for becoming your wish fairy.

XOXO my lovelys. Cheers to your upcoming beautiful skin.

In love with Vintage

From top to bottom: 1) A signature Harrods tote from Harrods, London, a 100% silk long scarf goes perfectly with the modern boyfriend jacket. 2). Hand made Victorian pearls necklace piece, pairs with a modern feather handband to create a classic look with a fairy tale twist. 3). Ports International belt with Victorian design detail. 4). LV small speedy in monogram, or anything LV in monogram is a good investment.

Breakfast at Tiffany's, Roman Holiday, Night and Day. . .All the beautfiul wonderful Hollywood glamour that I do not see much left in today's fast pace gossip rumoring new Hollywood. Oh how I miss the good old every garment and jewelry hand made days.

If you share the same passion, I wouldn't mind letting you in for some secrets of mine: vintage.

Vintage, vintage and more vintage. True vintage takes a good sense of fashion to spot. If in doubt, consult a fashionista in your facebook's list. Or, visit your nearest Chapters bookstore and spend a good two hours reading some of their in stock books on "vintage fashion" or "fashion and vintage".

Or email me @ info@anniegroup.com :)

Happy Thanksgiving my lovelys! Happy vintage hunting :)

Got Acne and you want beautiful skin? Easy ^^

First of all, some facts about acne:

1. It happens and it happens to a large number of population to a vast age groups sometimes during their lifetime.

2. Acne is not forever. Acne does get better over time when the right product is being used to treat it. Many people have found their right treatment and have healed their acne. You can too.

3. Acne is mostly caused by hormones, sweats and dirts that clog the pores, and over production of facial oils from facial glands. In a rare case, irritation do cause certain acne like reaction on the face, but it might not be acne.

4. SEE A DOCTOR! Skin is actually a very important part of the body organ as it lets out sweat and when it does, certain metals and other body waste are being eliminated from the body. If you have acne, then some facial pores are not working properly.

The following link is the 5 best acne product available on the market, both prescription and otc products are showed. If you have tried everything and nothing is improving, here are some tested by professional products that just might do the trick.

http://acneproductratings.org/

Remember 3 things:

1. DO NOT PICK AT YOUR ACNE!!!!!!!!!!!! It will scar. It will and I mean it!!!!!

2. Try to change your bad habits. Don't stay up late, quit smoking, limit your alcohol intake, drink more water, eat more fruit. I'm sure you heard it all but have you actually try them?

3. SEE A DOCTOR!!!!! They have saved others from acne and they certainly will do their best to save you.

If you have doubts, don't. Why? Because I'm a living sample of how bad skin can be healed :)

To be a Resessionista is to be the TREND-IST Fashionista EVER

Are you having "Shopping Mulfunction Syndrome"? Aka the trouble of giving yourself the liberty to spend on fashionable must have season items without feeling the guilt under the economic pressure?

Here's the cure to "SMS" : Consignment Shrines. Here's how it works.

1. Flip out your closet for IN season clothes/fashion items that are well kept/mint condition.

2. Take it to your favorite consignment store and they will evaluate your pieces.

3. Leave it there for about a month and check with them to see if any pieces are sold. You get 50% of the earning and most stores will donate your unsold clothes to charity after a certain period of having the clothes displayed at their store.

My FAVE consignment store is LaBelle Consignment at 2352 W . 41st Ave in the Kerrisdale area. Go check out their closet you might find your next fashion hit item for the most unbelievable price ever my lovelys.

Waiting for BC Fashion Week

For now I'm satisflying my thurst for fashion on this: Vogue. And the movie: The Devil Wears Prada, with homemade coffee, pepper brie and grape snacks. Can't wait for BC Fashion Week.

So the other day my BFF Joses was still up at 3am in the morning putting together a portfolio for his muse/model that he wanted her to try out for the 2009 BC fashion week. I gave her my best wishes and XOXO, and a handkichief for the very nervous Mr. Reyes whos heart was almost jumping out right in front of us. I sure do understand his nervousness for his muse. ( BTW Olga sweetie u are fabulous no matter what !!)

BC Fashion Week is THE week that anyone in fashion would die to be going. The wonderful fabulous new designs that will be filling up our senses and give us millions of little tingles in our veins for the rest of the season is surely a feeling that I cannot describle it in words. I'm so looking forward to this event of the year. If you see me at a stationary store picking out new leather covered notebooks and shiny new ball point pens, no, I'm not going back to school. A celebration of fashion deserves great notebooks and pens to go with it. Not to mention I'm not taking my hands off them, I can only imagine me writing away at my seat.

If you see me and I didn't say hi back, well, I'll say it in advance: HI MY LOVELYS!!!!

Shooting with BFF photographer Dohon Chow in the cozy Yaletown Roundhouse

Every year my band LOCUS releases a collection of our original songs. Following the well received "Silent Echo" EP in year 2008 and "Ambrosia" full length album this year, we are in the production of our second EP set for release sometime in year 2010 spring.

Music has always been my passion and for the past few years I'm blessed to have the chance to work with some of the most wonderful people in the world. My band members Jason, Kelvin and Eric has always been my most trusted bandmates and best friends. Our stylist/makeup artist Gigi had always been there to support us rain and shine, not to mention she's a great chef and I just can't get enough of her famous hot wings :)

And Dohon :) We have been so lucky to have this super busy always fully booked photographer that shoots all over world to be so generous of his time and always make arrangements to do photoshoots for us. He made our shoots so much more fun, easy and enjoyable.

Now that we've got our cover covered, all we have to do is to do everything else :)

My type of couture: Juicy Couture

I wonder how many new and emerging fashionistas today actually know what bought Juicy Couture to fame. Check your older sister's jewelry box and you might be able to find your answer: Juicy Couture charm bracelet.

And add on charms. Each come with their own jewelry case.

Just like guys would collect legos figurines, girls collect Juicy Couture bracelet charms.

Not just any other charms. I mean, these are well-made super detailed with accessable removable 'gadget' stuff: a treasure box with a lid that can really open, a lipstick that can twist up and down, a locklet just like what a real necklace locklet piece would, with a picture frame inside to frame your most beloved. You name it, they made it ( as long as it's juicy enough to be couturish charming.)

My best friend Melody gave me a Juicy Couture birthday/parting gift, which was a gold heart shaped necklace charm. I adore so much, I still kept it in its Juicy case and would only wear it during very important events.

There's something about Juicy Couture, a sweet naiveness, a hint of innocent, a trace of girly carefreeness that's so energetic it is outshining its completitors with its positive lovely attitude. It is just hard to not love Juicy Couture.

It represents a side of us, just shy of reaching the classic brand name era, but fresh out of our childish idol brand worshipping state of mind.

It represents being comfortable in our own power. And what's not to love about that my lovelys?

Once Upon a Pair of Jeans

After struggling a week to lose 20 invisible pounds, I found myself checking in with my scale and writing down records like how they would do it on "The Biggest Losers". I vow to never pig out at the crafty tables again. Or was it the ice cold honey larger at the Froggy Brew. . ? Whatever it was, I found I've never been this committed on a diet ever in my life.

And it was all for a pair of acid washed jeans that I deliberately purchased it in one size smaller.

Why? Because for every jeans there's this one magic size that one specific style would only look good at. Anything bigger and it will be the pile of clothes that will forever sit at the bottom of the closet.

Lets not waste money here shall we lol? And this pair sure worth my every penny coz I DIETED for it omg never again seriously.

So, this one's for the specific emerging designer that designed this acid washed jeans that's still working for the clothing chain store that I bought me jeans at: size 00 will NEVER be the new size 0 because that means everyone's anirexic!!

It's finally here!!! SEPHORA!!!

There are only two busiest place in Greater Vancouver for all the beautiful Vancouverists today: Pacific Centre or Coquitlam Town Centre. The amount of chaos is imaginable, but the 5000 square feet of 13,000 beauty products available was having people breathing heavy from the bottom of their hearts.

I'm talking about NARS, Philsophy, Bliss, exclusive lines such as Girlactik, Lorac and others that were once only available to the Carrie Bradshaw wannabes in the U.S.

So say goodbye to informorcials. Yeah I know the prices are so much more convincing on TV, but what's the fun of having a party without trying the tea :) ?

Rescue Your Skin with Tea Tree Oil Products

Before you know it, summer weather is already changing EVERYTHING there is about your lifestyle.

Bikinis instead of tops and bottoms, hanging out at beaches instead of cafes, and not to mention recognizing your friends according to their sunglasses instead of their foot wears. Seriously, how many different flip flops are available in stores? Havanas? Juicy Couture? BCBGirls?

Anyways, I personally was experiencing quite a bit of change as the mercury hits the 30 degrees mark: oily face.

To the point I decided to abandon my makeup, and just to rely on MAKEUP FOREVER CAMAFLAGE WATERPROOF CONCEALER in shade 06 for Asians. Just a few dots under the eye and a tiny bit on the areas that needs it.

Most importantly, i switched my skincare products to Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil skincare line. It corrects my facial oil production, and helped to reduce further possible pimples that might be caused by excess facial oils/clogging of makeup/dirt.

For about $40 dollars, it will save you the embrassment that you do not need during the summer season, esp. when you cannot wear makeup if you decided to swim, you need your 100% perfect skin now, don't you^^?

In hybernation for a month and SUMMER's HERE!

So what have I been doing for the past month while in 'hybernation'? Nothing exciting.

Actually, I had a slight bone fracture and was paralized for two weeks while in the middle of that my band and I made an appearance for Summer Night Market in Richmond BC. I was popping painkillers like a drug addict and chucking down cups of coffees one after another. Talk about ultimate destruction for the body. But then again and this is so cliche: "The show must go on." Belive me when I say there were tons of behind the stage mishaps and sacifices made to make it glamourous for such a short period of time on stage.

Oh well, who cares. That's that and nothing's going to stop me from enjoying the PERFECT SUMMER OF THE WESTCOAST!!! It's finally here with temp. soaring up to the 30 degrees mark last week. All I can say is SUNSCREENS SUNSCREENS and MORE SUNSCREENS!~

1. Neutrogena cooling spf 60+ spray on lotion :
has a slight floral fragrance. VERY EASY to apply. Just spray. It's my BFF for the summer.

2. Shisedo brand sunscreen for the face:
non greasy, easy to spread and comes in with very strong spf protections.

3. STELLA by Stella McCartney:
EDT, light but the stay on power is super. A refreshing yet alluring scent perfect for the summer season esp. when you are wearing bikinis by the beach.

4. Ella Fitzgerald Classics:
HMV got them on sale for 2 for 25. Another great CD to pick up is Nina Simone's classics. These two true divas of the glamour hollywood jazz/ r & b classics sure will bring a sense of summer love to your summer evenings when you done your shift at the beach and slipping on a martini by your home patio.

I will see you all my lovelys by the beach!~

XOXO!~
